Bay State Shows Faith in Jennifer Without Ben

Jennifer Garner, soon-to-be-ex-wife of Cambridge homey Ben
Affleck, doesn’t need her estranged hubby if she wants to make a hit in the Bay State.

Yesterday, Jen walked the red carpet at the Showcase SuperLux in Chestnut Hill at a screening of her new flick, “Miracles From Heaven,” with the real-life Boston Children’s Hospital doc and the real-life family who are the inspiration for the film.

Garner plays Christy Beam, whose daughter
Annabel was diagnosed with two rare, life-threatening digestive disorders that blocked her intestines when she was 5 years old. Annabel was in near-constant pain. She was in and out of the hospital but nothing helped — until she fell 30 feet into a hollow tree.

Annabel was trapped in the tree for six hours and when she came out, she was symptom-free.

Doctors are at a loss to explain it, but her mother believes it was a miracle.

Yesterday’s screening was a benefit for Children’s Hospital.

“Miracles From Heaven” is in theaters now.
